About the Journal

International Journal of Accessibility Research is an academic publication dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge and advances in the multiple dimensions of accessibility. With a focus on interdisciplinary approaches, the journal aims to bring together researchers, professionals and students from different areas — such as design, engineering, technology, education and social sciences — to discuss theories, methods and practices that remove barriers and promote the full participation of all people in social, cultural, economic and digital contexts.

Objectives and scope

Investigate concepts, models and metrics of accessibility in physical, digital and communication environments.

Analyze social, economic and legal impacts of implementing accessible practices.

Share case studies, reports of innovative practices and systematic literature reviews that highlight challenges and solutions in accessibility.

Foster dialogue between academia, the public sector and the private sector.
